Yoichiro Otani

Born in Osaka Prefecture in 1990. Completed the Doctoral Program in Fine Arts at Tokyo University of the Arts. While enrolled, studied abroad at Tsinghua University as an exchange student. Received the Salon de Printemps Award for her graduation work "ki" and the Nomura Art Award for "ki/u." She explores new contexts and poetic imagery emerging from the intersection of form, phonetics, and meaning, by superimposing the inherent linkages between characters onto the rhythms of all creation.
