Mami Takeuchi

Born in Oita Prefecture in 1992.
Completed her studies in the Dyeing Laboratory, Crafts Specialization, Lifestyle Design Major, Department of Fine Arts, Graduate School of Okinawa Prefectural University of Arts in 2018. Appointed as a part-time lecturer at the same university in 2019.

She salvages fragments of memories and emotions that tend to be lost in daily life, using fluctuating motifs such as waves and light. She aims to give form to ambiguous and shapeless things by transforming them into artworks using the katazome (stencil dyeing) technique, creating expressions that quietly resonate with each viewer's memories.
