蓮井幹生

写真家。1955年東京都出身。 アマチュア写真家の父親の影響で幼少の頃から写真を始める。明治学院大学社会学部社会学科を卒業後、アートディレクター・守谷猛に師事。アートディレクターとして広告やレコードジャケットを多く手がける。30歳の頃より写真を独学し、1988年の個展開催をきっかけに写真家となる。新潮社の雑誌『03』はじめ著名人のポートレイト作品で注目を集め、ファッション、ドキュメンタリーと幅広い分野の撮影を手がける。2000年頃からはムービー撮影も行い、PVやCMの作品多数。 受賞歴は「Spikes Asia」Silver Spike（2017年）、「APAアワード2019」美しい日本賞、「第67回日経広告賞」最優秀賞(以上、2018年）など。作品はフランス国立図書館、東京工芸大学写大ギャラリーに収蔵されている。 現在は、長野県茅野市で写真館「森の隣りの写真室」を運営し、東京との二拠点で作家活動を行っている。
