YUGEN Gallery, established in February 2022, is a gallery specializing in contemporary art. The name "YUGEN" is derived from the uniquely Japanese aesthetic concept of "Yugen." Through contemporary art, we aim to convey the essence of beauty embedded in that word—"profundity," "sublimity," "elegance," and "grandeur"—to a wide audience both domestically and internationally.

Currently, we have bases in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo, and Tenjin, Fukuoka. Spanning different cultural spheres in the metropolitan area and Kyushu, we organize exhibitions and disseminate information tailored to the characteristics of each region.

Our featured artists are primarily young and mid-career artists who pursue unique forms of expression both domestically and internationally. Beyond painting, photography, and installation, we introduce diverse cultural genres that transcend existing frameworks, such as contemporary calligraphy, contemporary crafts, and fashion. Additionally, we attempt exhibitions on themes of high social interest, and in recent years, we have actively participated in art fairs and regional collaboration projects, striving to foster urban culture and economic revitalization through art.

Since its establishment, YUGEN Gallery has steadily built a strong presence in the art scene through its uniqueness and practical capabilities. Moving forward, we will continue to serve as a bridge connecting artworks with society, regions with the world, and viewers with artists, aiming to deliver the possibilities of contemporary art more broadly and deeply.
