Keisuke Matsuda

Based in Kyoto, I have primarily focused on painting. I attempt to depict images at a stage prior to aiming for a completed result, characterized by an approach that treats both visible and invisible elements as equally significant.

Starting from images that emerge at moments when reality feels inseparable from thought and language, I also treat the very consciousness attempting to express those images as being akin to external reality. Through this process, I strive to generate paintings where the image integrates with bodily movements and intentions, directly transferring them onto the canvas.
