Summer Day

This is an exhibited work from "Creatures," a group exhibition where five artists express animals, plants, fungi, and imaginary beings using their unique materials and techniques. This exhibition focuses on the unseen presence and energy of life, and the relationship between nature and humans, through the diverse forms of "creatures."
Yukiko Kurano depicts the life movement of plants, which, though appearing still, constantly spread their roots and extend their branches and leaves. In her works for this exhibition, she treats oil paints like watercolors, capturing the dynamism of growing plants with fluid brushstrokes.
