This is a selection of works from the group exhibition "Creatures," where five artists express real and imaginary animals, plants, and fungi using their unique materials and techniques. This exhibition focuses on the unseen presence and energy of life, and the relationship between nature and humans, through the diverse forms of "creatures."
Yukiko Kurano depicts the vital movement of plants, which, though seemingly still, constantly extend their roots and branches. In her works for this exhibition, she treats oil paints like watercolors, capturing the dynamic growth of plants with fluid brushstrokes.
