Takeshi Tanaka
Born in Fukuoka in 1990.
He started calligraphy because he is left-handed.
While studying traditional calligraphy and being influenced by avant-garde calligraphy, he is exploring "things made of calligraphy" that are derived from the spirit, process, and concept of calligraphy as a contemporary expression.
In recent years, he has been presenting works based on architectural drawings and smartphone cameras.
Major exhibitions to date include ART SHODO EDGE (GALLERY SCENA., 2023), Planning#2 (Hakata Hankyu, 2024), GENGO Exhibition (Taguchi Bijutsu, 2024), and Congentecton (IAF SHOP*, 2025).
