Saori Kanda is a contemporary artist whose work focuses on the theme of "liberating the joy of the soul." As an "odori-e-shi" (dance artist) who combines dance and painting, she has been performing at ceremonies and art festivals around the world, receiving acclaim around the world.
The solo exhibition, which will open on Friday, July 5, 2024, will feature approximately 15 new pieces, including works with dragon and goddess motifs and live painting pieces that received a great response in New York.
It has been decided that obsidian excavated from Nagano Prefecture's Nagano Town will be embedded in the eyes of the dragon in one of the works, "The Dragon Of Love," which was created for the art performance of the mythological stage production "Towa Toha" to be held in the spring of 2024.
