Dragon Catcher Panda

This work is featured in the group exhibition "Daily Fables," which uses characters as a medium to explore the boundary between reality and fiction, and the location of the self.
The pandas depicted in Agopan's works exude a quiet mystique amidst their cuteness, existing on the border between reality and fantasy. While the motif is humorous and familiar, the composition and colors exude a sophistication reminiscent of Edo painting. The innocent figures of the pandas, depicted with a light brushstroke and a soft worldview, quietly bring to light a utopia hidden within the everyday.
