Chin pan

Panda artist Chinpan
Born in 1979
Graduated from the Social Studies Department of the Faculty of Education, Kagoshima University in 2002.
A panda artist who mainly draws panda characters.
What I want to portray is actually a somewhat foolish, lovable, and greedy human being. However, when I portray a human being, it somehow becomes very raw.
So, he wondered what kind of "animal is like an indulgence card" that he could make do anything without getting in trouble, and came up with the idea of using a "panda" as his motif, which is black and white and has the ultimate "cuteness" as its weapon.
He boldly depicts various pandas and the events surrounding them in rich colors and unique compositions, and in recent years has been creating paintings of pandas that "strongly attract people and mysteriously make the viewer smile." The characters are depicted in a comical way as possessing "good fortune" and "good luck," and by combining them with gods and Buddhas , they are proposed as new auspicious paintings. The theme of the work is to capture "luck," which is an invisible and very vague concept, but which is inseparable from human desires and karma .
His main artworks include "Agopan Cafe" (2016), which commemorates the 70th anniversary of Roppongi Amandes.
Art direction, cover illustration for "Nokyo Goes to the Moon" by Yasutaka Tsutsui, published by Kadokawa Bunko (2017)
Kagoshima City Tram Sister City Train Wrapping Illustration (2021)
