Motor Show (Vintage Chaos Series)

This work is exhibited at the three-person exhibition "Beyond Words, Outside Meaning," which explores how we usually understand and perceive the world, starting from words and letters. This exhibition re-examines the relationship between words and images through expressions that move back and forth between seeing and reading, form and meaning. Naoshi Yamamoto, based on calligraphy, engages in the conceptual practice of "writing the name of a thing on the thing itself." By superimposing a thing and the characters that name it in the same place, he creates a moment where "seeing" and "reading" intersect, questioning the mechanism of recognition through words.
