Motor show (The Used)

This work is featured in the three-person exhibition "Beyond Words, Outside Meaning," which explores how we typically understand and perceive the world, starting from words and language. The exhibition re-examines the relationship between words and images through expressions that move between seeing and reading, form and meaning. Takashi Yamamoto, based on calligraphy, engages in the conceptual practice of "writing the name of a thing on the thing itself." By overlaying a thing with the characters that name it in the same place, he creates a moment where "seeing" and "reading" intersect, questioning the mechanism of recognition through language.
