Motor Show (VINTAGE CHAOS SERIES)

This exhibition features works from "Beyond Words, Outside Meaning," a three-person show that explores how we typically understand and perceive the world, using words and characters as a starting point. Through expressions that navigate between seeing and reading, form and meaning, this exhibition re-examines the relationship between language and images. Naoshi Yamamoto engages in a conceptual practice rooted in calligraphy, where he "writes the name of an object onto the object itself." By superimposing an object with the characters that name it, he creates moments where "seeing" and "reading" intersect, questioning the mechanisms of perception through language.
