Amoeba that seems to start moving at any moment, underwear and breasts that convey body temperature and softness. Taking motifs that are far from traditional crafts, he is trying to innovate ceramics with a production style that is not bound by techniques or materials. 〈Runaway Tea Bowl〉, which pursues the sense of values between "use and beauty" that has been talked about in pottery and crafts, explores the possibilities of Japanese comprehensive art "tea ceremony", and also works on the production of tea utensils. The artist created this work by combining the tea ceremony with the Japanese culture of the ``bosozoku'', which can be said to be at the opposite end of the spectrum. He creates vessels that imitate long-necked hairstyles, and tea bowls that are “remodeled” from ready-made Kutani ware. The act of reckless pursuit of the thrill that disturbs the atmosphere that surrounds society without the cause of resistance to authority overlaps with the artist's traditional crafts and, by extension, the way he faces his creative activities. I hope that you will come across beauty at the crossroads of both, which is common with the keyword "road".
