Yuki Nishimoto, a popular sumi-e artist who is active around the world, will be holding his first solo exhibition in Fukui in four years, “Ungai Soryu”, starting March 16th (Saturday)!

From Saturday, March 16th to Sunday, March 31st, 2024, Nishimoto Yuki's solo exhibition "Ungai Soryu" will be held at the gallery "ART SITE 25" in front of Fukui Station.

Nishimoto Yuki is a sumi-e artist who continues to attract attention from around the world. His sumi-e works were first used in the American trading card game "Magic: The Gathering," which has 50 million users worldwide. His success continues to grow, including live painting at an event for Italian luxury sports car brand Ferrari and an exhibition in a private area of ​​the "2023 FINA World Championships in Fukuoka."

Nishimoto will now be holding his first solo exhibition in four years in Fukui Prefecture, where his creative base is located.

This solo exhibition will feature approximately 30 new ink paintings, mainly of dragons.

Sumi-e artist. Born in 1988 in Kagoshima Prefecture. Belongs to Jennyette LLC. Creates works that pursue "dynamism" and "strength" with a bold yet delicate touch. In 2012, he won the World Best Work Award for "EMBRACING OUR DIFFERENCES" in the US. Since then, he has been active both in Japan and abroad, performing live painting in Hong Kong, China, and other places. He has been active in a wide range of fields, including creating a mural at Fukuoka Airport, winning three awards at the advertising award "Clio Entertainment," designing collaborative T-shirts, the cover of the Defense White Paper, and background footage for the NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen. He currently bases his creative activities in Fukuoka and Fukui.
