Motor Show (VINTAGE CHAOS SERIES)

This work is part of "Beyond Words, Outside Meaning," a three-person exhibition that explores how we typically understand and perceive the world, starting from words and letters. The exhibition re-examines the relationship between words and images through expressions that move between seeing and reading, form and meaning. Takashi Yamamoto, based on calligraphy, engages in the conceptual practice of "writing the name of a thing on the thing itself." By superimposing an object and the characters that name it in the same place, he creates a moment where "seeing" and "reading" intersect, questioning the mechanism of recognition through words.
