Motor Show (The Used)
This work is featured in the exhibition "Beyond Words, Outside Meaning," a three-person show exploring how we understand and perceive the world, starting from words and language. This exhibition re-examines the relationship between words and images through expressions that move between seeing and reading, form and meaning. Naoshi Yamamoto, based on calligraphy, engages in the conceptual practice of "writing the name of a thing on the thing itself." By superimposing an object and its name (in text) in the same place, he creates a moment where "seeing" and "reading" intersect, questioning the mechanism of recognition through language.
