Motor Show (VINTAGE CHAOS SERIES)

This work is featured in the exhibition "Beyond Words, Outside Meaning," a three-person show that explores how we understand and perceive the world, starting from words and letters. This exhibition re-examines the relationship between words and images through expressions that move between seeing and reading, form and meaning. Naoshi Yamamoto, based on calligraphy, carries out a conceptual practice of "writing the name of a thing on the thing itself." By superimposing the object and the characters that represent its name in the same place, he creates a moment where "seeing" and "reading" intersect, questioning the mechanism of recognition through words.
