Moving Trees

This exhibition features works from "Beyond Words, Outside Meaning," a three-person exhibition that explores how we usually understand and perceive the world, starting from words and language. This exhibition re-examines the relationship between words and images through expressions that move between seeing and reading, form and meaning. Takashi Yamamoto, based on calligraphy, conceptually practices "writing the name of an object on the object itself." By superimposing an object and the characters that represent its name in the same place, he creates a moment where "seeing" and "reading" intersect, questioning the mechanism of recognition through language.
