SUPER STOP
This work is featured in the solo exhibition "XING," which attempts to reinterpret the landscape with the theme of the intersection of the symbolized real world and emotions.
In this exhibition, Tatsumi overlays fragments of street corners from around the world extracted from Google Street View to depict scenes of "intersections" that do not exist anywhere else. Symbols that have the same meaning to everyone, such as signs and billboards, are layered with the artist's sense of coincidence and fluctuations in memory, creating new landscape paintings where reality and mental images intersect. While embracing the randomness of digital glitches and discrepancies in different timelines, Tatsumi carves a rich depth into the canvas, as if guided by the color combinations he feels in his heart.
