Saiki is influenced by subcultures such as manga and animation, and creates works that are set against the backdrop of a visual environment that has emerged since the advent of video, the internet, and smartphones. By using green screens and canvases as the support for his works and reversing their function, he explores a structure in which a device that originally erases the background illuminates "what is erased" and "what does not remain." He questions the contemporary image environment while finding meaning in excluded and invisible images.
