Tsukino Kaeru's solo exhibition "LAYERED POP ART" will be held at YUGEN Gallery from Saturday, November 5, 2022 to Thursday, November 10, 2022.

Kaeru Tsukino is working on creating works that are conscious of "diversity" and "fusion" based on the several years spent in a sanatorium with children who had various problems when they were sickly.

Many of his works are semi-stereoscopic mixed media works based on original digital illustrations, combined with different materials such as metal, coated with transparent acrylic resin, and further decorated with rhinestones. By fusing a variety of materials that demonstrate their individual charms across genres, we create a unique world full of colors.

“The rise of the Internet and SNS is connecting people and making the world visible. I want to visualize invisible hierarchies,” says Tsukino.

In this exhibition, using original digital illustrations, transparent resin, and mirrors as materials, the "The world is beautiful" series, which depicts a "rich and beautiful world" woven by various elements, and the world in which he himself exists, will be presented. We will exhibit the "Focus to layers" series that Tsukino continues to create from her thoughts. Incorporating the gallery and the viewers will create a unique scenery.
