These works are presented by YUGEN Gallery in conjunction with the three-person exhibition "After Words, Outside Meaning," currently being held at YUGEN Gallery FUKUOKA, as part of our participation in "IWATAYA Life with Art 2026." They focus on how the shapes and meanings of characters alter the perception of objects and light, exploring new relationships between language and imagery.

sion combines readymade objects from everyday life with text to create new relationships between physical reality and the meanings conveyed by words. The text, applied via adhesive vinyl lettering, shifts the perception of familiar objects and poses a quiet challenge to the assumptions we hold when interpreting words and things.
