Kuroshio Current

Works exhibited at the group exhibition "KUROism - The world of tea ceremony as seen by contemporary artists."

⚫︎ Iron tatami with a motif of the great ocean current, the Kuroshio Current. The ocean current swells as it moves from west to east, and the sea breeze that is drawn to the Japanese archipelago, warmed by the energy of the sun, creates a wind wave pattern that faces northward in a vast and gentle blue ocean wave pattern. Depending on the angle of the light, it can shine brightly or turn a deep, deep, jet black. It is made of wooden joists (with interlocking joints) and is relatively lightweight, so it can also be hung on the wall.
