About life and death

Kim Dong-ho

This work was exhibited at the group exhibition "COMPLEX: Overcoming the Times." It is an installation of paintings, sculptures, videos, and graphics by five members of the Seoul-based art collective CPS (Complex Seoul). It expresses the inferiority complex and emotional vestiges that individuals living in the modern age have through city, memory, and symbolic motifs. Using a multi-focal visual language, it sheds light on countless nameless memories and stories, and is an attempt to quietly present the ethics and beauty of surviving a violent and empty era.
