TAKA PRINCIPAL Taka Principal

Contemporary artist. Born in Aichi Prefecture in 1974. Moved to the United States in 1993. After returning to Japan in 2001, he worked as a photographer shooting magazines and advertisements under the name TAKA. His main work includes advertisements for au, DoCoMo, Onward, Suntory, etc., and magazines such as Cut (Rockin' On), SWITCH (Switch Publishing), and WWD (INFAS Publications). He also serves as creative director for Cosme Kitchen. In parallel with his commercial photography, he has exhibited his work as a photographer both at home and abroad, including in Tokyo, New York, London, and Hong Kong. In 2013, he moved to Hong Kong. In 2024, he will begin his work as a contemporary artist under the name TAKAPRINCIPAL .
