A documentary on popular ink painting artist Nishimoto Yuki, who is a featured artist at the contemporary art gallery "YUGEN Gallery" (Omotesando, Tokyo/run by Gene Co., Ltd.), will be broadcast on Sunday, July 21st by RKB Mainichi Broadcasting and six Kyushu stations. It was broadcast.
Sumi-e artist Nishimoto Yuki has continued to attract attention from around the world, having performed live painting at events for Italian luxury sports car brand Ferrari and Art Basel Hong Kong 2023, appeared on NHK BS Premium's program "The Beauty Pot," and in July was responsible for the image art for the decorative float "15th Yamakasa Solaria" of the Fukuoka Hakata Gion Yamakasa, a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, and for part of the venue decoration for the 2023 FINA World Aquatics Championships Fukuoka.
This time, a documentary was aired that closely follows Nishimoto's creative process, and the special performance he gave in the studio is also not to be missed.
