Echizen Natsuko's works will be exhibited for a limited time at JR East's art project, Yamanote Line Museum POP, which will be held from Tuesday, August 29, 2023 to around February 2024.
Yamanote Line Museum POP is an art project organized by JR East that exhibits and sells 52 artworks at 18 stations on the Yamanote Line (Shinjuku Station, Harajuku Station, Shibuya Station, Ebisu Station, Meguro Station, Shinagawa Station, Takanawa Gateway Station, Hamamatsucho Station, Shimbashi Station, Kanda Station, Akihabara Station, Okachimachi Station, Uguisudani Station, Nippori Station, Nishi-nippori Station, Tabata Station, Ikebukuro Station, and Mejiro Station).
By exhibiting art works in stations that we pass by every day without even noticing, we are creating a new experience.
The three Echizen works on display this time were also exhibited at the well-received solo exhibition "Harmonious" held at YUGEN Gallery in Shibuya, Tokyo in March 2023: "My first sea" and "FLEURIR" will be exhibited at JR Shibuya Station, and "Tropical wolf" will be exhibited at JR Akihabara Station.
The theme of this work by Echizen Natsuko is "symbiosis."
The design depicts a "Harmonious" world, representing a natural and harmonious connection between all beings, including humans, animals, and plants, and the hope that all living things can live in relationships where they respect each other's individuality.
Whether it's a station you regularly use or a station you're visiting for the first time, we hope you will encounter Echizen Natsuko's works and feel the harmony of her work.
