YUGEN Gallery will be participating in "ART FAIR ASIA FUKUOKA 2026" (AFAF2026), held at Fukuoka Kokusai Center from Friday, October 2 to Sunday, October 4, 2026. This will be our third consecutive year exhibiting at the fair.
As a contemporary art gallery operating out of Tokyo and Fukuoka, we have continuously strived to introduce and support artists with ties to Fukuoka and Kyushu, while also presenting works by artists active at the forefront of the art scene both domestically and internationally.
At this fair, we will showcase the possibilities of diverse expression through an exhibition that intertwines a regionally rooted perspective with an international sensibility. We aim to promote new talent from Fukuoka and Kyushu, introduce works by highly acclaimed artists from Japan and abroad, and create points of contact with a wide range of collectors and visitors.
In 2024, YUGEN Gallery opened its Fukuoka gallery as a second base after Tokyo. As a gallery based in Fukuoka, a city that has fostered its unique culture as a gateway to Asia, we will play a role in connecting the region with the world, contributing to the further development of Fukuoka's art scene and the revitalization of its art market.
At ART FAIR ASIA FUKUOKA 2026 (AFAF2026), we plan to feature an exhibition by artists selected from YUGEN Gallery's unique perspective. Further details regarding the exhibiting artists and exhibition content will be announced at a later date.
All exhibited works will be available for purchase at the venue and online from the VIP preview on Thursday, October 1.
