Based in Kyoto, my work has primarily focused on painting. I strive to depict images that exist prior to the pursuit of a finalized result, characterized by an approach that views both visible and invisible elements as equally significant.
My work originates from images that emerge at moments when the reality before me feels inseparable from thought and language. I treat the very consciousness that attempts to express these images with the same regard as external reality. Through this process, I aim to generate paintings where images integrate with bodily movements and intentions, directly imprinting themselves onto the canvas. In recent years, alongside painting, I have begun exploring ceramics. Moving between two-dimensional and three-dimensional forms, the time and cognitive processes involved in an object taking shape have become crucial elements in my current practice.
