Based in Kyoto, I have primarily focused on painting. My work attempts to depict images in a stage prior to aiming for a completed outcome, characterized by an approach that treats visible and invisible elements as equally significant.
Starting from images that emerge at moments when reality feels inseparable from thought and language, I treat the consciousness that attempts to express these images with the same weight as external reality. Through this process, I try to generate paintings where images integrate with bodily movements and intentions, directly fixating them onto the canvas. In recent years, alongside painting, I have also begun working with ceramics, moving between two and three dimensions. The time and cognitive process involved in an object's emergence as form have become crucial elements in my current practice.
