The Light Unravels, into Me

Work exhibited at the group exhibition "Faces."
Drawing women's faces with manga-like outlines and vivid colors, emotions and presences emerge. The exhibition also includes hand-drawn works using acrylic paints, and the perspectives of each artist are apparent. While distancing itself from the obvious concept of "kawaii," the exhibition focuses on the female face, attempting to portray emotions.

In Kyūkō No.2’s works, the girls depicted are “cute even without smiling,” wrapped in striking light. Many of the pieces focus on the expression of light itself.
