[Akimoto Tsuki] Exhibiting at the "100+ Asian Art Festival", an art festival being held in Shenzhen, China until Tuesday, December 31, 2024!

Popular contemporary artist Tsukue Akimoto, who is represented by the contemporary art gallery "YUGEN Gallery" (Minami Aoyama, Tokyo; operated by Gene Co., Ltd.), will exhibit his works at the art festival "100+ Asian Art Festival" to be held in Shenzhen, China from Thursday, November 28, 2024 to Tuesday, December 31, 2024.

This event is an international art festival held at the Buji Cultural Center and Dafen Art Museum in Longgang District, with the aim of introducing diverse Asian cultures and arts and creating new values and possibilities. It will be held at the Buji Cultural Center and Dafen Art Museum in Longgang District from Thursday, November 28, 2024 to Tuesday, December 31, 2024.

More than 100 artists from around the world will gather, with more than 15 from Japan participating.

Akimoto Tsukue has been creating works that explore the boundaries between "abstract" and "concrete" using a unique technique that combines collage and acrylic paint. This challenge was also highly praised in his solo exhibition "Abstract, Concrete, and the President" held at YUGEN Gallery (Shibuya, Tokyo) in 2023.

Akimoto's works create a "pleasant unease" as if a foreign object has invaded the everyday, shaking up the viewer's common sense. This time, he will be exhibiting in Shenzhen, providing a new stimulus to the Asian art scene, and attention will be focused on how his unique theme of "presidents" will be received by international audiences.

Please come and experience the fascinating world of Akimoto Tsukue for yourself.
