Statement

The upcoming group exhibition, "Connection Spot," brings together five artists with deep ties to Fukuoka, allowing visitors to see their unique worlds of expression.

The participating artists are Matsuyama 5th Avenue, Kusuda Nao, Yumisaki Takahiro, Ando Keita, and Tajima Emi. Each artist has developed their work in a different style and theme, and they will share a new art space in Fukuoka.

Their works reflect their respective backgrounds and perspectives, evoking diverse emotions and inspirations in the viewer. Matsuyama 5th Avenue's works focus on people and urban life, Kusuda Nao's works express the beauty of nature and silence, and Yumisashi Takahiro and Ando Keita's unique abstract expressions and works that focus on contemporary social issues.

With the space of YUGEN Gallery FUKUOKA, which just opened in September 2024, as a backdrop, the works of each artist will influence each other, creating a space for unexpected collaborations to be born. The perspectives of each artist will collide, interact, and intersect, making this a dynamic exhibition that will breathe new life into Fukuoka's art scene.

Through the works of these artists, we hope you will enjoy the opportunity to see connections in your everyday life that you normally don't notice, and to see the world from a new perspective.
