Based in Kyoto, I have primarily focused on painting to date. I attempt to depict images that exist at a stage prior to aspiring towards a finalized result, characterized by an approach that treats visible and invisible elements as equally significant.
Starting from images that emerge at moments when reality feels inseparable from thought and language, I also treat the very consciousness that attempts to express these images as external reality. Through this process, I try to generate paintings where images integrate with bodily movements and intentions, directly transferring onto the canvas. In recent years, alongside painting, I have also begun working with ceramics, moving between two and three dimensions. The time it takes for a subject to appear as a form and the process of its recognition have become crucial elements in my current practice.
