Sundial

This is an exhibition of works from "Creatures," a group exhibition in which five artists express plants, animals, fungi, and imaginary creatures using their own materials and methods. This exhibition explores the invisible presence and energy of life, and the relationship between nature and humans, through the diverse forms of "creatures."
Yukiko Kurano depicts the movement of plant life, which, while appearing still, constantly spreads its roots and branches. In her works for this exhibition, she treats oil paints like watercolors, capturing the dynamism of growing plants with fluid brushstrokes.
