From Wednesday, December 20th to Sunday, December 31st, 2023, we will begin selling works by three artists who have been gaining attention in various scenes in recent years in a special space on the 6th floor of the main building of Matsuzakaya Nagoya.

The three artists exhibiting and selling their works this time are "EDO and YUMEKA," ​​"Asano Junko," and "kubomi."

This is a graceful exhibition featuring works by three unique artists of different ages and using different techniques.

Ed and Yumeka: An art unit consisting of EDO, who has been involved in live painting and jewelry design in the underground culture, and YUMEKA, a painter who creates various paintings such as oil paintings based on Japanese painting, which he learned on his own since his teens. In addition to painting, they are involved in a wide range of activities such as product production and spatial design for tea ceremony. Solo exhibitions include "SESSION" at ASPLUND/BAROOM/JMT CAFE in Tokyo, "BACKSTAGE" at Cafe CEREZA in Aichi (all in 2022), and "NUDAVERITAS" at YUGEN Gallery in Tokyo (2023).

She currently lives in Kanagawa Prefecture and graduated from Bunka Fashion College's Apparel Design Department. Since 2018, he has been actively working as an artist, working on store interiors, collaborating with apparel brands, and creating album jacket artwork.

Junko Asano / Born in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture in 1950. Has Japanese and Swedish parents. As a teenager, she was a member of the female group "Cleopatra Party" along with the talent Kathy Nakajima and the model Sayoko Yamaguchi, and led the culture of the time, attracting attention. She began painting at the age of 60, and has since been creating works that are not bound by style or venue, exhibiting them in galleries, second-hand clothing stores, flower shops, and more.
